Carmichael holds first constituent advice surgeries in Orkney and Shetland following election

8 Jul 2024

Orkney and Shetland MP, Alistair Carmichael, will on Friday 12th July and Monday 15th July hold his first constituent advice surgeries since being re-elected to represent the Northern Isles. He will hold a Shetland surgery from 5-6pm on Friday in Islesburgh Community Centre in Lerwick, and surgeries in Stromness Community Centre (1-1:45pm) and the Orkney Parliamentary Office in Kirkwall (5-5:45pm) on Monday.

Mr Carmichael said:

“My aim as Member of Parliament for the isles has always been to be accessible and ready to help those in need of support.

“There has been no let up in the pace of casework coming in over the election period so I am glad to get back into regular advice surgeries once again.

“Anyone who is in need of support or wishes to discuss particular concerns is welcome at the surgery, as always - appointments in advance are of course helpful but you are always welcome to turn up on the day.”
